It wasn’t our usual in-person yearly gathering; but, this past week, we all chatted on zoom to celebrate our many BRIGHT SPOTS of 2020. With everything going on in our lives and around the world, we want to focus on our celebrations and the things that make us do what we do best. We are thankful for all the good things from 2020, and look forward to many more BRIGHT SPOTS in 2021!
Today, we are celebrating the announcement of three new Senior Associates. Congratulations to Ryan Fuqua, Jessica Whitlock, and Damien Schlitt! These three have moved the ball forward with their expertise and ingenuity. They have provided exceptional innovation and dedication and have a track record of going above and beyond.
Ryan Fuqua: as leader of the structural design department, Ryan has established himself as one who consistently produces creative solutions to difficult structural challenges, while being sensitive to the aesthetic goals of the overall building design. Ryan is as a supportive mentor, nurturing the skills of emerging engineering talent, while bringing his own experience and expertise to each project.
Damien Schlitt: as Co-Director of the K-12 Design Studio, Damien has established himself as an expert in creating future-focused learning environments and has earned the trust of multiple clients across the Midwest. Damien is constantly looking to support his clients with creative solutions to the ever-changing landscape of the educational field.
Jessica Whitlock: as Director of Marketing, Jessica is an energetic idea-generator and big thinker. She has established herself as a creative leader, managing the brand, image, and marketing/communications efforts for the firm, and also leads the branded environments team at BLDD. Her passion lies in making a positive impact with design, by improving experiences and perceptions.
